Information for DoDEA Employees During Government Shutdown
This is updated information guidance is intended for DoDEA employees regarding the FY26 lapse in appropriations. DoD civilian employees will not receive pay or allowances during the shutdown period. Currently, the Government Employee Fair Treatment Act of 2019 provides that military personnel and other federal employees should receive retroactive backpay once a shutdown concludes.
Government Shutdown: What You Need to Know
The current appropriations provided by Congress expired September 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Without enactment of an appropriations bill or a continuing resolution, DoDEA, was required to execute plans for a lapse in appropriations (referred to as a "shutdown") the morning of Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Eastern Daylight Time.

- Supervision for students arriving for breakfast starts at 07:00Â a.m.
- All students must be in their classrooms by 7:35Â a.m. to be counted present.
